Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a diligent and proactive Procurement Support Staff to join our dynamic team in Eko Atlantic, Lagos. This pivotal role is essential for maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of our procurement operations, ensuring that all processes run smoothly from requisition to delivery. As a Procurement Support Staff, you will be the backbone of our purchasing activities, working closely with various departments and external vendors to facilitate the timely acquisition of goods and services necessary for our operations and client projects.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve a blend of administrative support, data management, and communication. You will be instrumental in processing purchase requisitions, preparing purchase orders, and meticulously tracking orders to ensure they meet specified timelines and quality standards. This role demands exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries regarding orders and deliveries, making strong communication skills indispensable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain detailed and up-to-date procurement records, including vendor information, contracts, and order history.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and invoicing discrepancies.
  • Track and monitor all outstanding orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any potential delays.
  • Assist in the preparation of bid documents, proposals, and contract agreements.
  • Conduct initial vendor research and facilitate vendor onboarding processes.
  • Support the procurement team in analyzing spending patterns and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and ensure satisfaction.
  • Prepare various procurement reports and summaries for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Previous experience in a support role within a fast-paced procurement department
