Key Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming produce shipments for quality, freshness, and adherence to company standards.
- Sort and grade fruits and vegetables based on visual appearance, ripeness, size, and type.
- Remove damaged, spoiled, or substandard items from batches to maintain quality control.
- Package sorted produce into appropriate containers or crates, ensuring proper handling to prevent bruising or damage.
- Label packaged produce accurately with relevant information such as product type, grade, and date.
- Assist with loading and unloading produce from delivery vehicles as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all hygiene and safety regulations.
- Operate basic sorting equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily sorting and packing targets.
- Report any discrepancies in product quality or quantity to supervisors promptly.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision and efficiency.
- Strong attention to detail and keen observational skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25kg, and perform bending and reaching tasks.
