Job Description
Makana Brick is actively seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Line Assembler to join our dedicated manufacturing team in Makhanda. This pivotal full-time role places you at the heart of our production process, where you will be instrumental in the efficient and accurate assembly, stacking, and initial quality inspection of our diverse range of brick and paving products. As a Production Line Assembler, you will operate within a fast-paced and dynamic factory setting, working closely with fellow team members to ensure a seamless flow of operations and adherence to our stringent quality control standards and safety protocols. Your daily responsibilities will encompass manual handling of materials, operating basic production machinery safely, and conducting routine visual checks to guarantee that every product leaving our facility meets the high expectations of our customers and the Makana Brick brand. Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and package various brick and paving products according to established specifications and quality standards.
- Operate and monitor basic production line machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform routine quality checks on products to identify and remove defective items.
- Load and unload materials from production lines, ensuring proper stacking and storage.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and health regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure a safe and efficient production environment.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality issues to the line supervisor promptly.
- Assist with general factory duties as required to support overall production goals.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and strength to lift and move materials repeatedly (up to 25kg).
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
Preferred Qualifications
