Seprod Group is actively seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Production Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations in Brown’s Town, Saint Ann Parish, Jamaica. The Production Manager will be responsible for the entire production cycle, from raw material intake to finished goods dispatch, encompassing planning, execution, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor production schedules to meet customer demand and optimize resource utilization.
- Oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring adherence to production targets, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Manage and mentor a diverse team of production supervisors and operators, fostering a collaborative, high-performance work environment.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) to enhance productivity, reduce downtime, and minimize waste.
- Ensure compliance with all local and international regulatory standards, including food safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Monitor production costs and implement strategies for cost reduction without compromising quality or safety.
- Collaborate closely with supply chain, quality assurance, maintenance, and R&D departments to ensure seamless operations and product development.
- Conduct regular performance reviews for team members, identify training needs, and support professional development.
- Prepare and present comprehensive production reports, forecasts, and budgets to senior management.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and implement corrective actions promptly to minimize disruptions.
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods in collaboration with the warehousing team to prevent shortages or overstock.
- Maintain accurate production records and ensure proper documentation for all processes and compliance activities.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Production Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in production management within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control procedures.
- Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, or other continuous improvement tools.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Proficiency in production planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt), or Project Management (PMP).
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems in a manufacturing context.
- Familiarity with Jamaican and international food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000).
- Experience working in the food and beverage or consumer goods manufacturing industry.
