Job Description
Sandals Ochi Beach Resort is seeking a highly skilled, dedicated, and professional Plumber to join our dynamic and integral maintenance team. As a vital member of our facilities department, you will be primarily responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of all plumbing systems across our expansive resort property. This encompasses a broad range of areas including guest rooms, public restrooms, kitchens, laundries, back-of-house facilities, staff accommodations, and various office spaces within the resort complex. This role demands a proactive individual with a strong commitment to quality workmanship, meticulous attention to detail, and an unwavering focus on safety and guest satisfaction.
You will be tasked with troubleshooting complex plumbing issues, performing routine preventive maintenance on existing infrastructure, executing new installations and upgrades, and responding promptly and efficiently to emergency repairs. Our ideal candidate possesses a deep and comprehensive understanding of various plumbing systems, including potable water supply, wastewater disposal, drainage systems, hot water systems, and specialized resort equipment such such as water heaters, pumps, and irrigation lines. Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing equipment for water distribution, waste disposal, and ventilation systems.
- Inspect plumbing systems to identify and resolve issues, leaks, and potential hazards.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on all plumbing infrastructure, including checking for leaks, blockages, and corrosion.
- Respond promptly to emergency plumbing calls from guest rooms and various resort departments.
- Interpret blueprints and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems and installation procedures.
- Ensure all plumbing installations and repairs comply with local building codes and safety regulations.
- Operate and maintain a variety of plumbing tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Document all work performed, parts used, and time spent on each task accurately.
- Collaborate with other maintenance team members and resort departments to coordinate work and minimize disruption.
- Provide excellent service and communication to guests and staff regarding plumbing-related issues.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a professional Plumber, preferably in a hospitality or large commercial setting.
- Thorough knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and equipment.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex plumbing issues.
- Proficiency in using various plumbing tools and equipment (e.g., pipe cutters, wrenches, soldering equipment).
- Understanding of relevant safety regulations and protocols.
- Excellent physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
