Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all technical aspects of construction projects from concept to completion.
- Develop, review, and approve project designs, specifications, and construction drawings.
- Monitor project progress, ensuring compliance with schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Coordinate and liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and local authorities.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including reports, risk assessments, and method statements.
- Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
- Conduct site inspections, identify potential issues, and propose effective solutions.
- Manage project resources, including materials, equipment, and labour.
- Participate in tender evaluations and procurement processes as required.
- Ensure effective communication and information flow among all project stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Project Engineer in the construction industry.
- Proven track record of managing construction projects from start to finish.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Sound knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation.
- Valid UK driving license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant engineering or construction field.
- Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or working towards it.
- Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) software.
