Job Description
Are you an accomplished and results-driven Project Manager with a passion for agriculture and a proven track record in meticulously planning and executing complex projects? Kenya Seed Company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our dedicated team in Kitale, Trans-Nzoia County. In this critical full-time role, you will be instrumental in overseeing the entire lifecycle of various strategic initiatives, from conceptualization and detailed planning through to successful execution and post-implementation review. This encompasses a broad spectrum of projects, including but not limited to, agricultural research and development initiatives, infrastructure upgrades, new product launches, process improvements, and community outreach programs within the agricultural domain. You will be responsible for defining project scope, setting clear objectives, managing timelines, allocating resources efficiently, and ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your leadership will be key in fostering collaborative environments, mitigating risks, and driving stakeholder engagement to achieve ambitious organizational goals that directly impact food security and agricultural advancement in Kenya. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and closure of diverse agricultural and organizational projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, detailed work breakdown structures, timelines, resource allocation, and budget forecasting.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
- Manage project budgets, tracking expenditures, and ensuring cost-effective resource utilization.
- Facilitate clear and consistent communication among project stakeholders, including internal teams, external partners, and senior management.
- Conduct regular project reviews, status meetings, and prepare detailed reports on project performance and outcomes.
- Ensure adherence to industry best practices, company policies, and relevant regulatory standards in all project activities.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate project teams to foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Oversee quality control throughout the project lifecycle to ensure deliverables meet predefined standards.
- Manage contract negotiations with vendors and suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and service delivery.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in project management, including strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
