Job Description

Sifton Properties Limited, a leading name in real estate development, is seeking a motivated Project Scheduling Trainee to join our dynamic team in London, Ontario. As a Project Scheduling Trainee, you will work closely with experienced Project Managers and Coordinators, gaining hands-on experience in developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules for various construction and development projects. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers in creating, updating, and maintaining detailed project schedules using industry-standard software.
  • Perform data entry and ensure the accuracy and integrity of scheduling information.
  • Monitor project progress against established baselines and report on variances.
  • Help prepare project reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with various departments and external partners to gather necessary scheduling inputs.
  • Identify potential scheduling conflicts or bottlenecks and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
  • Participate in project meetings, taking notes and contributing to discussions related to timelines and deliverables.
  • Support the documentation and archiving of project schedules and related materials.
  • Continuously learn and apply best practices in project scheduling and control.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new software applications quickly.
  • Proactive attitude with a strong eagerness to learn and grow.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Basic familiarity with project management principles and terminology.
  • Exposure to project scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6).
  • Understanding of construction processes or real estate development lifecycles.
