Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Public Health Analyst to join our dynamic and remote team. As a Public Health Analyst, you will be instrumental in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex health data to identify trends, evaluate program effectiveness, and inform evidence-based public health interventions. Your work will directly support policy development, resource allocation, and strategic planning initiatives aimed at improving population health outcomes across diverse communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and manage large datasets from various public health sources.
  • Conduct comprehensive statistical analysis and epidemiological investigations to identify health trends, risk factors, and disparities.
  • Develop and implement data collection tools and methodologies.
  • Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate findings to diverse audiences.
  • Utilize data visualization techniques to present complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of public health programs and interventions, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of evidence-based public health policies and strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to align data analysis with strategic objectives.
  • Stay updated on the latest public health research, methodologies, and data privacy regulations.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for data-related projects and initiatives.

Required Skills

  • Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in public health data analysis or research.
  • Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS, Python for data analysis).
  • Strong understanding of epidemiological principles and research methodologies.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with public health surveillance systems and data sources.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctorate (PhD) in Public Health or a related discipline.
  • Experience with GIS software for spatial data analysis.
