Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greeting and assisting visitors with pumpkin selection and purchases.
- Efficiently restocking pumpkin displays to ensure a fresh and appealing variety for guests.
- Maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall organization of the pumpkin patch area.
- Providing helpful information and directions to guests regarding farm activities and amenities.
- Assisting with light harvesting and transport of pumpkins from fields to display areas using carts or wheelbarrows.
- Operating point-of-sale (POS) systems for customer transactions, accurately handling cash and card payments (full training provided).
- Setting up and dismantling seasonal decorations, signage, and activity stations as needed.
- Ensuring a safe, friendly, and enjoyable environment for all visitors, especially children.
- Collaborating effectively with fellow team members to ensure smooth daily operations and a positive guest experience.
- Performing general groundskeeping tasks such as sweeping, tidying, and waste removal.
Required Skills
- Strong work ethic and a consistently positive, can-do attitude.
- Ability to work outdoors comfortably and safely in various weather conditions (sun, light rain, cool temperatures).
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- High level of reliability, punctuality, and commitment to scheduled shifts.
- Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods, walk on uneven terrain, and lift up to 30 lbs regularly.
- A genuine team player mentality and willingness to support colleagues.
- Comfortable and enthusiastic about interacting with families and children of all ages.
- Eagerness to learn new tasks and adapt to changing daily needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, retail, or hospitality.
- Familiarity or comfort with rural or farm environments.
- Basic cash handling or point-of-sale system experience.
