Career.zycto is on the lookout for a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to join our thriving team in Darmstadt. Your day-to-day will involve a diverse range of tasks, from processing purchase orders and tracking shipments to liaising with suppliers and internal departments. Key Responsibilities

  • Process purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders efficiently and accurately.
  • Liaise with suppliers to confirm orders, track deliveries, and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Maintain and update supplier information, pricing, and product databases.
  • Assist in negotiating favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with vendors.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely procurement.
  • Prepare and maintain purchasing reports, records, and documentation.
  • Support the purchasing manager in evaluating supplier performance and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential new suppliers and products.
  • Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with finance for timely invoice processing and payment.
  • Assist in resolving issues related to damaged goods, incorrect shipments, or returns.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Purchasing Assistant or in a similar administrative role (minimum 1 year).
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude.
  • Basic understanding of purchasing processes and supply chain principles.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
