Career.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and passionate QA Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team in Ulm. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using industry-standard tools and programming languages.
  • Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify defects, regressions, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with software developers to understand product requirements, design specifications, and ensure testability of features.
  • Perform functional, regression, performance, and security testing of web, mobile, or backend applications.
  • Report, track, and verify software defects using bug tracking systems, providing detailed and clear documentation.
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, contributing to an agile development process.
  • Continuously research and implement new testing tools, techniques, and strategies to enhance efficiency and coverage.
  • Mentor junior QA team members and contribute to the overall QA best practices and knowledge base.
  • Work closely with DevOps to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of professional experience in Quality Assurance with a strong focus on test automation.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#, JavaScript).
  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JUnit, TestNG).
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  • Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI) and concepts.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • ISTQB certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with mobile automation frameworks (e.g., Appium).
