Job Description
National Foods Limited is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Quality Assurance Inspector to join our dynamic team in Mvurwi, Mashonaland Central Province. This full-time, on-site role is critical to maintaining our reputation for unparalleled product quality and safety. As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you will be at the forefront of ensuring that all our products, from raw materials to finished goods, adhere to the highest standards set by National Foods and regulatory bodies. Key Responsibilities
- Conducting routine and ad-hoc inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods according to established quality standards and specifications.
- Monitoring production processes to ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and other quality control protocols.
- Performing various physical, chemical, and microbiological tests on samples using appropriate laboratory equipment and techniques.
- Accurately documenting all inspection results, test data, and observations in compliance with record-keeping procedures.
- Identifying, investigating, and reporting non-conformances, quality issues, or deviations from standards, and assisting in root cause analysis.
- Collaborating with production teams to implement corrective and preventive actions to resolve quality problems and improve efficiency.
- Ensuring proper calibration and maintenance of all quality control equipment and instruments.
- Assisting in the training of production staff on quality procedures and best practices.
- Contributing to the development and improvement of quality control plans, specifications, and procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with national food safety regulations and international quality management systems (e.g., HACCP, ISO).
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in observation and record-keeping.

- Proficient knowledge of quality assurance principles and methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

- Relevant certifications in Quality Management Systems (e.g., HACCP, ISO 9001).
- Proven experience in a quality assurance or quality control role within the food manufacturing or agricultural processing industry.
- Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) techniques.
- Familiarity with laboratory testing procedures and equipment.
