Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly diligent and experienced Quality Assurance Inspector to join our Rosemount, Aberdeen facility immediately. Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products according to established specifications and standards.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and quality control plans to ensure accurate inspection criteria are applied.
- Document inspection results thoroughly, maintaining accurate records of accepted and rejected items.
- Identify and report non-conformities, initiating corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) as necessary.
- Collaborate with production teams, engineers, and suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement improvements.
- Conduct root cause analysis for identified defects and participate in problem-solving activities.
- Operate and calibrate various inspection tools and measuring equipment accurately.
- Assist in the development and revision of quality control procedures and work instructions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality management systems.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, suggesting enhancements to processes and product quality.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Inspector or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Experience with various inspection tools and measuring equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Excellent attention to detail and a meticulous approach to inspection.
- Ability to identify non-conformities and document findings accurately.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certification in Quality Assurance or Quality Control (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector).
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and other quality assurance methodologies.
- Familiarity with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques.
- Previous experience in the oil & gas, engineering, or heavy manufacturing sectors.
