Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Control Inspector to join our dynamic team in Zentrum, Bonn. A Quality Control Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring that products meet established quality standards and specifications throughout their lifecycle. This position involves performing a range of inspections and tests on raw materials, components, in-process production, and finished goods. The ideal candidate will possess a meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and an unwavering commitment to maintaining high levels of product quality and reliability. You will be instrumental in identifying and documenting potential quality issues, collaborating effectively with production teams to implement swift and effective corrective actions, and upholding our esteemed reputation for excellence and precision in all we deliver.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products according to specified standards and procedures.
  • Conduct various tests and measurements using precision instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify product specifications.
  • Document inspection results accurately and comprehensively, including identifying and reporting non-conformances.
  • Collaborate with production personnel to identify root causes of quality issues and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain calibration records for inspection equipment and ensure all tools are within calibration dates.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of quality control procedures and inspection methods.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and quality management system (QMS) requirements.
  • Participate in internal and external audits as required.
  • Provide feedback and training to production staff on quality standards and best practices.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Quality Control Inspector or in a similar role within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality control methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for identifying defects or inconsistencies.
  • Ability to use various measuring instruments with precision (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM experience a plus).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in quality control (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector).
  • Experience with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • Basic knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and other quality improvement tools.
  • Proficiency in German (verbal and written) is a strong advantage.
