Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level Quality Control Scientist to join our growing team in Downtown, Tupelo. This is an exceptional opportunity for a recent graduate or an individual with foundational laboratory experience looking to make a significant impact in a critical scientific field. As a Quality Control Scientist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity, safety, and efficacy of our products by performing routine analytical testing, monitoring processes, and maintaining stringent quality standards. You will be instrumental in the day-to-day operations of our quality control laboratory, performing tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using a variety of analytical techniques and instrumentation. This includes preparing samples, operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, and accurately recording data. Beyond the bench, your role will involve meticulous documentation of all procedures and results, ensuring compliance with internal protocols and external regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine analytical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
  • Operate, maintain, and calibrate various laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Accurately document all test results, procedures, and observations in laboratory notebooks and LIMS.
  • Adhere strictly to cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines and established SOPs.
  • Participate in laboratory investigations for out-of-specification (OOS) results and deviations.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of technical documents, including test methods and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure laboratory cleanliness, safety, and compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality Control department.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific field.
  • Strong foundational laboratory skills and experience with basic lab equipment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Basic understanding of quality control principles and data analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, UV/Vis spectroscopy, or Karl Fischer titrators.
  • Prior experience in a regulated laboratory environment (e.g., academic, industrial, or internship).
  • Knowledge of cGMP, GLP, or other relevant regulatory guidelines.
  • Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
