As a Quality Controller specializing in product inspection, you will be on the front lines, playing a critical role in upholding our brand reputation and consumer trust from raw material intake to finished product release. You will be immersed in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, working collaboratively with production, operations, and R&D teams to identify potential issues, implement corrective actions, and champion a culture of continuous improvement. Your daily tasks will involve conducting thorough inspections of incoming ingredients, in-process production, and final products, meticulously recording observations, and preparing detailed reports. This role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, a deep understanding of quality control methodologies, and the ability to operate and interpret results from various laboratory equipment. Key Responsibilities
- Perform meticulous inspections of raw materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Conduct physical, chemical, and microbiological tests using laboratory equipment and interpret results accurately.
- Monitor critical control points (CCPs) and operational prerequisite programs (OPRPs) to maintain food safety and quality systems (HACCP, ISO 22000).
- Identify and document non-conforming products, initiate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and follow up on their effectiveness.
- Prepare detailed quality reports, checklists, and documentation for internal records and external audits.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with production teams to resolve quality issues, provide guidance on best practices, and support process improvements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new quality control procedures and standards.
- Train production personnel on quality procedures, food safety protocols, and good manufacturing practices (GMP).
- Participate in internal and external quality audits, providing necessary data and support.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the quality control laboratory and production areas.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Quality Controller, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
- Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Familiarity with international food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000) and local regulations.
- Proficiency in performing laboratory tests and interpreting results.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong observational skills.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related scientific field.
- Certification in HACCP or ISO 22000 internal auditing.
- Experience with quality management software or LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System).
- Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) techniques.
