Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies for diverse construction projects.
- Develop and manage tender documentation, including bills of quantities and specifications.
- Evaluate contractor bids, conduct negotiations, and prepare contractual agreements.
- Administer contracts, including valuation of work completed, processing payments, and managing variations.
- Monitor project expenditures against budgets, provide regular financial reports, and forecast costs.
- Identify and analyze commercial risks, providing strategies for mitigation and cost control.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to ensure project financial success.
- Prepare and agree upon final accounts with contractors, ensuring fair and accurate settlements.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software (e.g., RIB iTWO, Buildertrend, or similar).
- Strong understanding of construction contract law and procurement procedures.
- Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities in English.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional qualification such as RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or equivalent.
- Fluency in German (B2/C1 level or higher).
