Key Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive cost plans, feasibility studies, and detailed bills of quantities.
- Manage all aspects of contract administration, including valuations, payments, and final accounts.
- Conduct thorough risk and value management analysis to identify potential savings and mitigate commercial exposure.
- Provide expert advice on procurement strategies and engage in contractor selection processes.
- Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to ensure best value and adherence to contractual terms.
- Prepare and present regular financial reports, forecasts, and cash flow projections to stakeholders.
- Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, and project teams to ensure clear communication and commercial objectives are met.
- Resolve contractual disputes and claims in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant construction law, regulations, and industry best practices.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of demonstrable experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
- Proficient understanding of various standard forms of construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC).
- Exceptional analytical, financial management, and numerical skills.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and relevant industry software.
