Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and vigilant Radio Communications Assistant to join our night shift team in Mount Pleasant, Brampton. As a Night Shift Radio Communications Assistant, you will be the central point of contact for our field teams, ensuring smooth and efficient operations during critical overnight hours. You will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing radio traffic, documenting incidents, coordinating responses, and providing vital support to maintain operational continuity. This position requires a keen ear, quick thinking, and the ability to remain calm under pressure, acting as the vital link between our control center and personnel on the ground. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage multi-channel radio communications, ensuring clear and timely dissemination of information.
- Log all radio traffic, incidents, and activities accurately and thoroughly in the designated systems.
- Dispatch and coordinate field personnel in response to incidents, service requests, and operational directives.
- Provide essential support and information to field teams, including operational updates, weather conditions, and safety alerts.
- Adhere strictly to all communication protocols, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or communication disruptions promptly.
- Assist in emergency response situations by relaying critical information and coordinating resources effectively.
- Maintain a professional and calm demeanor, especially during high-stress situations.
- Collaborate effectively with other team members to ensure seamless shift transitions and continuous coverage.
- Perform routine checks on communication equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a radio dispatch, call center, or communications role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong listening comprehension and ability to process information quickly and accurately.
- Proficiency in using radio communication equipment and relevant software.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail for logging and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during night shifts.
