Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of station promotional events, concerts, and appearances.
- Set up and tear down promotional equipment (tents, banners, sound systems) at various event locations.
- Coordinate on-air contests, including prize fulfillment, winner notification, and prize distribution.
- Manage and maintain promotional inventory, ensuring adequate supplies for all events.
- Interact directly with listeners and the public at events, representing the station with enthusiasm and professionalism.
- Support the marketing team with social media content creation and updates related to promotions.
- Perform general administrative duties such as data entry, filing, scheduling, and preparing reports.
- Conduct research on potential promotional partners, event opportunities, and community outreach initiatives.
- Drive station vehicles to transport equipment and staff to event locations, ensuring safe and timely arrival.
- Collaborate with sales, programming, and production departments to ensure cohesive promotional efforts.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules.
- Valid Washington State driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation to commute to various event sites and the station office.
- Ability to lift and carry promotional equipment (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for radio and community engagement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or coursework in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Previous volunteer, internship, or entry-level experience in media, events, or customer service.
