Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures accurately and efficiently, adhering to established protocols.
- Operate and maintain radiologic equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.
- Position patients correctly for desired views, ensuring patient comfort and minimizing radiation exposure.
- Review and evaluate radiographic images for technical quality, proper identification, and diagnostic clarity.
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing concerns to alleviate anxiety.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, including medical history and imaging results.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, infection control policies, and professional ethical standards.
- Participate in continuous professional development and training to stay current with advancements in radiologic technology.
Required Skills
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
- Delaware State Licensure as a Radiologic Technologist (or eligible for).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Proficiency in operating various diagnostic imaging equipment.
- Strong understanding of radiation safety principles and patient care techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology.
- Experience with PACS systems and electronic health records (EHR).
- Advanced certifications (e.g., CT, MRI) are a plus.
