You will learn about patient preparation, equipment handling, image processing, and maintaining a sterile and organized workspace. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist radiographers and radiologists in preparing patients for various imaging procedures (e.g., X-rays, ultrasound).
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout their time in the radiology department, providing clear instructions and reassurance.
  • Help position patients correctly for imaging scans under direct supervision.
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and availability of necessary supplies.
  • Assist with basic equipment setup and breakdown, ensuring all tools are properly disinfected and stored.
  • Manage patient flow within the department, including registration, scheduling appointments, and directing patients.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and input data into the hospital's information system.
  • Transport patients to and from the radiology department as needed, following safety protocols.
  • Handle patient inquiries and provide general information about radiology procedures.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, safety regulations, and infection control standards.
  • Participate actively in all training sessions and continuous learning opportunities provided.
