Key Responsibilities
- Assist radiographers and radiologists in preparing patients for various imaging procedures (e.g., X-rays, ultrasound).
- Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout their time in the radiology department, providing clear instructions and reassurance.
- Help position patients correctly for imaging scans under direct supervision.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and availability of necessary supplies.
- Assist with basic equipment setup and breakdown, ensuring all tools are properly disinfected and stored.
- Manage patient flow within the department, including registration, scheduling appointments, and directing patients.
- Maintain accurate patient records and input data into the hospital's information system.
- Transport patients to and from the radiology department as needed, following safety protocols.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide general information about radiology procedures.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, safety regulations, and infection control standards.
- Participate actively in all training sessions and continuous learning opportunities provided.
