Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, and repair railway tracks, signals, switches, and other railway infrastructure components.
- Perform diagnostic tests on electrical and mechanical systems to identify faults and ensure proper functionality.
- Execute preventive maintenance tasks according to schedules and operational procedures.
- Respond to emergency calls for repairs and system failures, often outside regular hours.
- Operate specialized equipment and tools safely and efficiently for railway maintenance.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, operational procedures, and environmental policies.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections accurately.
- Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Identify and report potential hazards or system deficiencies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Railway Technician or in a similar heavy industrial maintenance role.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and railway-specific equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license.
