Job Description

Career.zycto is urgently seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented Ramp Agents to join our dynamic ground support team in Heritage Shores, Bridgeville. As a Ramp Agent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of aircraft, passengers, and cargo. This physically demanding yet rewarding position is the backbone of airport operations, directly impacting flight schedules and customer satisfaction. You’ll be part of a critical team responsible for a myriad of tasks performed outdoors, in all weather conditions, under strict deadlines. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely guide aircraft to and from parking positions using hand signals and communication equipment.
  • Load and unload baggage, cargo, and mail onto and from aircraft, ensuring proper weight distribution and security.
  • Operate and maintain ground support equipment (GSE) such as tugs, belt loaders, pushback tractors, and baggage carts.
  • Perform routine checks and clean-up of the ramp area, ensuring a hazard-free environment.
  • Service aircraft with potable water, lavatory services, and other necessities as required.
  • Communicate effectively with flight crews, gate agents, and other ground personnel.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and airport procedures.
  • Assist with de-icing procedures during winter months if applicable.
  • Inspect and secure aircraft prior to departure, including closing doors and hatches.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment to meet tight deadlines and ensure on-time departures.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects (up to 70 lbs) frequently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
  • Capacity to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow).
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proven reliability and punctuality in previous roles.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude for operating ground support equipment.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a physically demanding role, logistics, or outdoor work.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Prior experience operating heavy machinery or specialized equipment.
  • Knowledge of airport operations and terminology.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
