Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet and welcome all guests and visitors upon arrival, providing a positive first impression.
  • Manage incoming telephone calls, emails, and general inquiries efficiently, directing them to the appropriate department or individual.
  • Process guest check-ins and check-outs, handling reservations, payments, and key assignments accurately.
  • Maintain an organized and tidy reception area, ensuring all necessary supplies and information are readily available.
  • Provide comprehensive information to guests regarding services, local attractions, and directions.
  • Resolve guest concerns and complaints promptly and professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary to ensure complete satisfaction.
  • Perform various administrative duties, including data entry, filing, mail distribution, and maintaining office calendars.
  • Assist with booking appointments, meeting rooms, or other services as requested by guests or staff.
  • Ensure security protocols are followed by monitoring visitor access and maintaining accurate visitor logs.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a customer service or reception role, demonstrating a strong understanding of guest relations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and friendly demeanor.
  • Proficiency in using office software (e.g., MS Office Suite) and experience with booking/CRM systems.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
  • A keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the hospitality or hotel industry.
  • Knowledge of local attractions and amenities in the Calverton/Nottingham area.
  • Familiarity with property management systems (PMS) or similar booking software.
  • Ability to speak multiple languages is a plus, though not required.
