Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead engineers during recording, mixing, and mastering sessions.
- Set up microphones, cables, and other studio equipment according to session requirements.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and organized.
- Prepare studio rooms for sessions, including tidying, sanitizing, and setting up instruments.
- Manage studio inventory of consumables and report needs for reordering.
- Provide basic administrative support, including scheduling and client communication.
- Handle client hospitality, ensuring a comfortable and productive environment.
- Troubleshoot basic technical issues with guidance from senior staff.
- Assist with patchbay management and signal flow configuration.
- Organize and archive session files and project data securely.
- Maintain the overall cleanliness and professional appearance of the studio facility.
- Operate basic recording software and hardware under supervision.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of audio engineering principles and terminology.
- Familiarity with digital audio workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, or Ableton Live.
