Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive records management policies and procedures.
- Manage the full lifecycle of both physical and digital records, from creation and capture to storage, retrieval, and eventual disposition.
- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory (e.g., GDPR), and internal data retention and privacy policies.
- Classify, index, and organize records efficiently to facilitate easy and secure retrieval.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of records management systems for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Provide training and ongoing support to staff across all departments on best practices for records management and information handling.
- Oversee the secure transfer, archiving, and authorized destruction of records, maintaining proper documentation.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and systems to improve the efficiency and security of digital records management.
- Collaborate with IT, legal, and other departments on data governance initiatives and special projects related to information management.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (3+ years) in records management, archival science, or information governance.
- Strong understanding of records management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proficiency with records management software and enterprise content management (ECM) systems.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze information, identify issues, and implement effective solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of data protection regulations and relevant industry standards (e.g., GDPR).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German.
