Key Responsibilities

- Help promote recreational programs through various channels, including social media, flyers, and local outreach efforts.
- Maintain accurate records of program attendance, equipment inventory, and participant feedback.
- Collaborate with senior coordinators and other team members to develop new program ideas and enhance existing offerings.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and organizational policies during all recreational activities.
- Provide on-site support and supervision during events, addressing immediate needs and ensuring smooth operations.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program (e.g., Recreation & Leisure Studies, Education, Kinesiology, Social Sciences, or a related field).
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for community engagement and recreational programming.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with diverse age groups.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate program schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous volunteer or part-time experience in recreation, event planning, or youth leadership.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
