Career.zycto is seeking an enthusiastic and highly organized Recreation Coordinator to join our team in Maxixe, Inhambane Province. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, plan, and implement a diverse calendar of recreational programs and special events for various age groups.
- Coordinate all logistical aspects of programs, including scheduling, facility bookings, equipment procurement, and staffing.
- Supervise program staff and volunteers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Monitor program effectiveness, gather participant feedback, and make continuous improvements.
- Manage program budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective operations.
- Promote programs and events through various channels, including social media, flyers, and community outreach.
- Ensure all activities adhere to safety standards and organizational policies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and participants.
- Prepare regular reports on program participation, outcomes, and budget performance.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in recreation, event planning, or community program coordination.
- Proven ability to plan, organize, and execute successful recreational activities.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills with experience managing staff or volunteers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Portuguese.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by programs and events.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to dynamic environments.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Sports Science, Education, or a related field.
- Experience working within the Maxixe or Inhambane Province community.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR.
- Experience with recreation management software.
