Key Responsibilities
- Accurately sort and segregate various recyclable materials (e.g., plastics, paper, cardboard, glass, metals) from mixed waste streams on a conveyor belt or sorting line.
- Identify and remove non-recyclable items or contaminants to ensure the quality of sorted materials.
- Operate basic sorting equipment and machinery safely and efficiently after receiving appropriate training.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all facility hygiene and safety standards.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, particularly those related to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding material flow, safety concerns, or equipment issues.
- Perform repetitive tasks with accuracy and maintain focus in a fast-paced industrial environment.
- Assist with other general labor duties as required to support waste processing operations.
