Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, adhering strictly to safety protocols.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatments.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, LPNs, CNAs, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in unit meetings, committees, and quality improvement initiatives as required.
- Adhere to all Baptist Health policies, procedures, and professional nursing standards.
Required Skills
- Current unencumbered Arkansas Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care nursing experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and quality care.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Experience in multiple clinical specialties (e.g., Med/Surg, ICU, ER).
- Certification in a nursing specialty (e.g., CCRN, CMSRN).
- Experience with Epic EHR system.
