Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, accurately documenting all actions.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and medical information, reporting changes to the appropriate healthcare professional.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques.
- Maintain accurate and confidential electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with all regulations.
- Respond to medical emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other staff to coordinate patient care and facilitate seamless transitions.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, infection control policies, and quality standards.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain licensure and enhance skills.
Required Skills
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Indiana
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
