Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Rehabilitation Consultant to join our growing team in Munich, Bavaria. This pivotal full-time role offers the opportunity to significantly impact the lives of individuals recovering from illness, injury, or living with disabilities, guiding them towards greater independence and successful societal reintegration. As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and monitoring personalized rehabilitation plans that address the multifaceted needs of our clients.

Your daily work will involve comprehensive client assessments, including their physical, psychological, social, and vocational circumstances, to identify barriers and develop targeted interventions. You will act as a central point of contact, coordinating with a diverse network of healthcare professionals, therapists, employers, educational institutions, and social services. A core aspect of this role is client advocacy, ensuring individuals receive appropriate support and resources while navigating complex systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments of clients to identify rehabilitation needs and goals.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized rehabilitation plans focusing on physical, psychological, social, and vocational aspects.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including doctors, therapists, social workers, and employers.
  • Provide vocational counseling, job placement assistance, and support for workplace accommodations.
  • Educate clients and their families on available resources, support systems, and rehabilitation processes.
  • Advocate for clients' rights and access to appropriate services and benefits.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records and prepare detailed progress reports.
  • Facilitate workshops and group sessions on coping strategies, skill development, and reintegration.
  • Stay current with best practices, research, and legislative changes in rehabilitation.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in rehabilitation counseling or a related field (minimum 3 years).
  • Strong understanding of rehabilitation principles, theories, and methodologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized plans.
  • Proficiency in case management and coordination of services.
  • Empathy, patience, and a client-centered approach.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Fluency in German (C1 level minimum) and English (B2 level minimum).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Certification as a Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) or equivalent professional designation.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and a variety of disabilities/conditions.
  • Knowledge of the German social welfare and healthcare system.
  • Proficiency with relevant software and documentation systems.
