Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support for Microsoft Azure services via email, chat, and phone channels.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings (e.g., Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, Networking, App Services, Entra ID).
  • Assist users with account management, subscription inquiries, billing clarifications, and basic service configuration tasks.
  • Document all support interactions, resolutions, and relevant technical details accurately and promptly within the ticketing system.
  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior support engineers or specialized teams following established protocols and best practices.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of internal knowledge base articles and customer-facing Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).
  • Proactively monitor Azure service health dashboards and communicate potential impacts or outages to clients as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with new Azure features, services, and best practices through continuous learning and training.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, training sessions, and collaborative problem-solving initiatives.

Required Skills

  • 1.5+ years of experience in a technical support role, preferably with exposure to cloud technologies.
  • Foundational understanding of Microsoft Azure services and core cloud computing concepts.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting common technical issues related to operating systems (Windows/Linux) and networking fundamentals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high productivity in a remote environment.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and adherence to IT service management (ITSM) best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or equivalent cloud certification.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation tasks.
  • Previous experience working effectively in a fully remote or distributed support capacity.
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework principles and their application in support operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
