Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Remote Blueprint Drafter to join our expanding team at Mazowe Citrus Estates. This critical role involves translating conceptual designs and engineering specifications into detailed, accurate technical drawings and blueprints for our diverse range of agricultural and industrial infrastructure projects. As a Remote Blueprint Drafter, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our ongoing development, including new irrigation systems, processing plant layouts, administrative buildings, storage facilities, and other essential site infrastructure. You will work independently from your remote location, collaborating virtually with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that all drawings meet industry standards, company specifications, and regulatory requirements. Your ability to visualize complex structures, apply drafting principles, and utilize advanced CAD software will be instrumental in the successful planning and execution of our projects. Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics for various agricultural infrastructure projects using CAD software.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to understand design requirements and translate them into accurate visual representations.
- Review and revise existing drawings and blueprints to reflect design changes, specifications, and as-built conditions.
- Ensure all drawings adhere to relevant industry standards, codes, and company drafting guidelines.
- Maintain an organized system for filing and retrieving drawings and project documentation.
- Perform calculations for materials, dimensions, and other specifications as required.
- Participate in virtual meetings to present designs, discuss progress, and gather feedback.
- Stay updated with the latest drafting software, tools, and best practices to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Assist in estimating project costs by providing accurate material lists and dimensions from drawings.
- Troubleshoot and resolve drafting-related issues promptly and efficiently to minimize project delays.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Blueprint Drafter or similar role.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit).
- Strong understanding of drafting principles, standards (e.g., ISO, ANSI), and symbols.
- Excellent technical drawing and visualization skills.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in all drafting outputs.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for virtual collaboration with diverse teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting, meeting deadlines consistently.
