Job Description
Are you a creative and tech-savvy individual with a passion for ministry and a knack for digital content? Christ’s Church of the Valley (CCV) – Surprise Campus is seeking a dedicated Remote Church Media Assistant to join our team. This vital part-time, work-from-home role supports our mission by enhancing our digital presence and ensuring our message reaches our congregation and broader community effectively. As a Remote Church Media Assistant, you will play a crucial role in curating, managing, and distributing compelling media content across various platforms.
Your day-to-day will involve a diverse range of tasks, from editing sermon videos and creating engaging social media graphics to managing our online worship platforms and supporting our communication efforts. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to contribute your talents from anywhere while staying deeply connected to our Surprise campus team through virtual collaboration tools. We are looking for someone who is not only proficient in media production and digital tools but also possesses a strong understanding of church culture and a heart for serving. Key Responsibilities
- Edit and produce sermon videos, testimonies, and promotional content for online platforms (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.).
- Design engaging graphics and visual assets for social media posts, website banners, and digital announcements.
- Assist with the management and scheduling of social media content across various channels (Facebook, Instagram, X, etc.).
- Support the live streaming of worship services and special events, including pre-production checks and post-production archiving.
- Maintain and update content on the church website and mobile app, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Collaborate with the communications team to develop and implement digital media strategies.
- Organize and manage digital asset libraries (photos, videos, graphics).
- Provide technical support for online ministry initiatives as needed.
- Stay informed about current digital media trends and best practices in church communications.
- Ensure all media content aligns with CCV's brand guidelines and theological values.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve)
- Strong graphic design skills using tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva
- Familiarity with social media management platforms and content scheduling
- Basic understanding of live streaming technologies and platforms (e.g., OBS Studio, YouTube Live)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A passion for ministry and aligning with the mission and values of CCV
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Media Arts, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) for website updates
- Knowledge of photography and lighting techniques
- Experience working or volunteering in a church or non-profit media department
- Familiarity with SEO principles for digital content
