As a Remote Clinical Data Assistant, you will play a vital part in the lifecycle of clinical research, from initial data entry and cleaning to comprehensive query resolution and meticulous documentation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve interacting with various electronic data capture (EDC) systems, diligently reviewing data points, and proactively identifying any discrepancies that could impact study outcomes. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate and timely data entry of clinical trial information into various databases and electronic data capture (EDC) systems.
  • Conduct thorough data review and cleaning activities to identify and resolve discrepancies, inconsistencies, and missing data points.
  • Generate, track, and resolve data queries by liaising with study sites and internal teams, ensuring comprehensive documentation.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of clinical data management documentation, including data management plans (DMPs) and case report forms (CRFs).
  • Support the preparation of data for statistical analysis and regulatory submissions, ensuring compliance with established standards (e.g., ICH-GCP, FDA regulations).
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) for EDC systems and other data management tools.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and security of all patient data and proprietary information.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including clinical operations, biostatistics, and quality assurance, in a remote setting.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of data management processes and procedures.
  • Provide administrative support to the clinical data management team as needed.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a life science, health-related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical data management or a related role within a CRO, pharmaceutical company, or research institution.
  • Proficiency in electronic data capture (EDC) systems (e.g., Medidata Rave, InForm, RedCap).
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, clinical trial processes, and regulatory requirements (GCP, ICH guidelines).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data handling and review.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant scientific or health informatics discipline.
  • Certification in Clinical Data Management (e.g., CCDM).
  • Experience with SQL or other database query languages.
  • Familiarity with CDISC standards (SDTM, ADaM).
  • Previous experience working remotely in a data-focused role.
