Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain data quality standards, policies, and procedures across various data domains.
- Conduct regular data profiling, cleansing, and validation activities to identify and resolve data integrity issues.
- Design and execute data quality monitoring reports and dashboards, providing insights into data health and trends.
- Collaborate with data owners, IT teams, and business stakeholders to define data quality rules and establish data governance frameworks.
- Perform root cause analysis for data quality issues and work cross-functionally to implement preventive and corrective actions.
- Support the integration of new data sources and systems, ensuring data quality considerations are embedded from the outset.
- Educate and train business users on data quality best practices and the importance of accurate data entry.
- Contribute to the selection, implementation, and optimisation of data quality tools and technologies.
- Document data lineage, definitions, and business rules to enhance data understanding and accessibility.
- Participate in data governance committees and initiatives to drive continuous improvement in data management.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (3+ years) in a dedicated data quality, data governance, or data analysis role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying, analysis, and manipulation.
- Experience with data profiling, data cleansing, and data validation techniques.
- Familiarity with data quality tools (e.g., Informatica Data Quality, Talend, Alteryx).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to communicate complex data concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing and ETL processes.
