As a Remote DevOps Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and scalability of our platforms. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
- Support senior DevOps engineers in troubleshooting system and application issues, identifying root causes, and implementing solutions.
- Help manage and configure version control systems (e.g., Git) and assist with code deployments.
- Contribute to the automation of routine tasks through scripting (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Monitor system performance and alerts, escalating issues as necessary.
- Maintain clear and concise documentation for systems, processes, and procedures.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and team meetings, contributing to a collaborative environment.
- Learn and apply best practices in security, reliability, and scalability.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of Linux operating systems and command-line interface.
- Familiarity with fundamental cloud concepts (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Understanding of version control systems, especially Git.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team setting.
