As a Remote DevOps Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and scalability of our platforms. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
  • Support senior DevOps engineers in troubleshooting system and application issues, identifying root causes, and implementing solutions.
  • Help manage and configure version control systems (e.g., Git) and assist with code deployments.
  • Contribute to the automation of routine tasks through scripting (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • Monitor system performance and alerts, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Maintain clear and concise documentation for systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups and team meetings, contributing to a collaborative environment.
  • Learn and apply best practices in security, reliability, and scalability.

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of Linux operating systems and command-line interface.
  • Familiarity with fundamental cloud concepts (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • Understanding of version control systems, especially Git.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team setting.
  • A proactive attitude and a strong desire to learn and develop new technical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior exposure to any CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
  • Understanding of containerization technologies like Docker.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles (e.g., Terraform).
