Job Description
Are you a detail-oriented, analytical individual with a passion for understanding online user behavior and optimizing digital experiences? OK Zimbabwe Limited is actively seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Remote E-commerce Conversion Optimization Assistant to join our rapidly expanding digital team. This pivotal role offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the success of our online platforms by diving deep into user data, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies that enhance the customer journey from first click to final purchase.
As a Remote E-commerce Conversion Optimization Assistant, you will work collaboratively with our cross-functional teams, including marketing, web development, and analytics, to support our comprehensive Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) initiatives. Your primary objective will be to assist in uncovering insights from website analytics, user feedback, and A/B testing results to pinpoint friction points, propose innovative solutions, and contribute to the execution of experiments designed to increase conversion rates, boost average order value, and significantly improve the overall user experience for our valued online shoppers.
This position demands a keen eye for detail, a foundational understanding of digital marketing principles, web analytics tools, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset. You will be responsible for gathering data, setting up basic A/B tests, documenting findings, and helping to present actionable recommendations. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the analysis of website and app analytics data (e.g., Google Analytics) to identify user behavior patterns, conversion funnels, and areas for improvement.
- Support the planning, setup, and execution of A/B tests and multivariate tests using CRO tools.
- Gather and organize qualitative data from user surveys, feedback forms, and usability tests.
- Document test hypotheses, methodologies, results, and recommendations for future optimization efforts.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to conversion, user engagement, and sales.
- Research industry best practices and emerging trends in e-commerce CRO.
- Collaborate with the web development team to implement changes and fixes identified through optimization efforts.
- Prepare reports and presentations on CRO performance and insights for internal stakeholders.
- Help maintain and update conversion rate optimization dashboards and reporting tools.
- Support the creation of user personas and customer journey maps to better understand target audiences.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (1+ year) in a digital marketing, e-commerce, or analytics role.
- Familiarity with web analytics platforms, especially Google Analytics.
- Basic understanding of A/B testing principles and methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace equivalents.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- A stable internet connection and a suitable home office environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with CRO tools (e.g., Google Optimize, VWO, Optimizely).
- Knowledge of UX/UI principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Magento, Shopify).
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS/JavaScript for front-end testing.
- Experience with heatmapping and session recording tools (e.g., Hotjar, Crazy Egg).
