Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS (Human Resources Information System), ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Assist with the end-to-end onboarding process for new hires, including preparing new hire paperwork, initiating background checks, and scheduling orientation sessions.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, and general HR-related questions, escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR team, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and managing correspondence.
  • Process HR-related documentation such as employment verifications, status changes, and terminations.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives, contributing to the development and improvement of HR processes.
  • Assist with benefits administration support, including enrollment, changes, and answering basic employee questions.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and university policies.
  • Facilitate strong communication channels within the HR department and across other university departments while working remotely.

Required Skills

  • 1-2 years of experience in an HR administrative or coordinator role.
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms (e.g., SAP, Workday, PeopleSoft) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally at all levels.
