Job Description

NAWASCO is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Remote HR Manager to lead our human resources functions from a remote setting within Nakuru, Nakuru County. This pivotal role will be instrumental in shaping our remote work policies, fostering a thriving virtual culture, and ensuring our human capital strategies align seamlessly with our organizational goals. The Remote HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing all critical aspects of HR, including strategic talent acquisition, effective employee relations management, robust performance management systems, competitive compensation and benefits administration, strict HR compliance, and comprehensive training and development initiatives for both our remote and on-site workforce. You will serve as a trusted strategic partner to management and employees alike, providing expert guidance and support on all HR-related matters. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement remote-first HR policies and procedures that ensure compliance, support employee well-being, and maximize productivity across the organization.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for both remote and on-site positions, from strategic job posting and candidate sourcing to offer extension, ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience.
  • Oversee and optimize performance management systems, including setting clear goals, conducting regular reviews, and facilitating professional development plans.
  • Administer comprehensive compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive, equitable, and align with company policy and all legal requirements.
  • Provide expert guidance and resolution on complex employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all local labor laws and regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legislative changes and best practices.
  • Develop and deliver impactful virtual training and development programs designed to enhance employee skills, foster career growth, and support organizational objectives.
  • Champion NAWASCO's organizational culture, actively promoting engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion in a remote and hybrid work environment.
  • Utilize advanced HR analytics and metrics to identify key trends, inform data-driven decision-making, and continuously improve HR effectiveness.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as an HR Manager, with a demonstrated ability to manage comprehensive HR functions autonomously and strategically.
  • Strong and up-to-date understanding of Kenyan labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong rapport and influence stakeholders remotely.
  • Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and a range of remote collaboration and productivity tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and evaluate effective HR policies, programs, and initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a keen eye for detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution.
