Job Description

Ageas UK is looking for a dedicated Remote Insurance Claims Partner to join our dynamic team, based in the Oatlands, Walton-on-Thames area, but working fully remotely. In this pivotal role, you will be the reassuring voice and expert guide for our customers, helping them through their insurance claims journey from initial notification to final resolution. This isn’t just about processing paperwork; it’s about providing compassionate support, clear communication, and efficient problem-solving when our customers need us most.

As a Remote Insurance Claims Partner, you will manage a varied portfolio of claims, primarily focusing on personal lines such as home or motor insurance. You’ll be responsible for investigating claims, assessing liability, negotiating settlements, and ensuring all decisions are fair, compliant, and clearly communicated. We are looking for someone who can balance empathy with decisive action, ensuring customer satisfaction while adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of insurance claims from first notification through to final settlement, ensuring a fair and timely resolution.
  • Conduct thorough investigations to determine policy coverage, liability, and quantum of claims.
  • Communicate proactively and empathetically with policyholders, third parties, and internal stakeholders, providing clear updates and explanations.
  • Negotiate claims settlements efficiently and fairly, adhering to company guidelines and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed claims records and documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively with repair networks, loss adjusters, and legal representatives.
  • Identify and escalate complex or high-value claims to senior management where appropriate.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the claims department.
  • Adhere to all compliance, regulatory, and data protection requirements (e.g., GDPR, FCA).

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an insurance claims handling role (personal lines preferred).
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload effectively and independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer focus.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence outcomes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in using claims management software and standard office applications.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
  • High level of integrity and a commitment to fair customer outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CII (Chartered Insurance Institute) qualifications (e.g., Cert CII, Dip CII).
  • Experience with remote work best practices and tools.
  • Understanding of the UK insurance regulatory landscape.
  • Experience in both motor and home insurance claims.
