Key Responsibilities
- Provide remote technical support to internal and external users via phone, email, and chat.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and system issues efficiently.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems (Windows, macOS), applications, and peripherals.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in various systems.
- Document all support interactions, resolutions, and steps in a ticketing system.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of IT knowledge base articles and user guides.
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or specialized teams when necessary.
- Participate in IT projects, including system upgrades and new software deployments, as required.
- Ensure data security and adherence to company IT policies and procedures.
- Provide proactive support and preventative maintenance suggestions to minimize downtime.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a remote IT support role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365/Google Workspace administration and support.
- Experience with remote desktop tools (e.g., TeamViewer, AnyDesk, RDP).
- Familiarity with network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification.
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- Experience with ticketing systems like Zendesk, Freshservice, or ServiceNow.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) at a basic support level.
- Prior experience supporting remote teams and virtual infrastructure.
