Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated Remote IT Support Technician to join our innovative team in a hybrid work model. This pivotal role will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation of our IT systems and providing exceptional technical support to our diverse user base, both remotely and from our state-of-the-art facility in the RAK Industrial Area.

As a Remote IT Support Technician, you will be the first point of contact for technical queries, troubleshooting a wide range of hardware, software, and network issues. You’ll leverage your problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical challenges efficiently, minimizing downtime and maximizing user productivity. This hybrid setup means you’ll enjoy the autonomy of working from home for part of the week, while also collaborating directly with colleagues and engaging in hands-on tasks during your scheduled on-site days. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first and second-level technical support via phone, email, and ticketing system for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, mobile device, and peripheral hardware problems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows, macOS) and business applications.
  • Assist users with network connectivity, email configuration, and printer issues, both remotely and on-site.
  • Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and security checks.
  • Document technical issues, solutions, and procedures accurately in the IT knowledge base.
  • Collaborate with senior IT staff on more complex technical issues and project implementations.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in Active Directory and other systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to end-users to enhance their understanding and utilization of IT resources.
  • Participate in on-site IT infrastructure setup, maintenance, and inventory management as required during office days.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (O365) and common business applications.
  • Experience with hardware diagnostics and repair for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Basic understanding of network concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator.
  • Experience with IT service management (ITSM) tools and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Desk).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and virtualization technologies.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and endpoint security solutions.
  • Previous experience in a hybrid or remote IT support role.
