In this full-time remote role, you will play a pivotal part in designing, developing, and implementing innovative virtual learning programs that empower our employees with the knowledge and skills necessary for success. As a Remote Learning Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to transform complex information and critical business processes into accessible, interactive, and highly effective online courses, virtual workshops, and comprehensive digital learning modules. You’ll leverage your expertise in instructional design and a variety of cutting-edge e-learning authoring tools and multimedia technologies to ensure that all content is not only informative but also captivating, user-friendly, and optimized for diverse learning styles within our geographically dispersed workforce. This position requires a strong foundational understanding of adult learning theories, robust instructional design principles, and a keen awareness of the unique pedagogical challenges and technological opportunities inherent in remote education environments.
You will be a key collaborator, working closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) from various departments, internal stakeholders, and other members of the L&D team to meticulously identify specific training needs. From these insights, you will develop clear and measurable learning objectives, craft compelling storyboards, and execute full-cycle course development. Your work will directly enhance employee performance, foster greater engagement, and support career progression across the organization, thereby contributing significantly to Truliant’s overall strategic goals of operational excellence and member satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop engaging, interactive, and effective remote learning solutions, including e-learning courses, virtual instructor-led training (VILT) materials, webinars, and digital performance support tools.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to identify learning objectives, content requirements, and appropriate instructional strategies for various topics.
- Utilize authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Rise 360) and multimedia software to create high-quality, professional learning content.
- Administer and optimize our Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring accurate content deployment, tracking, and reporting of learner progress and course completion.
- Conduct needs assessments and evaluations to measure the effectiveness of remote learning programs and recommend enhancements for continuous improvement.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in instructional design, adult learning, and remote education to continually innovate our learning offerings.
- Provide guidance and support to trainers and facilitators on best practices for virtual delivery and engagement.
- Manage multiple learning projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and budget constraints.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in instructional design or remote learning development.
- Proven proficiency with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline 360, Adobe Captivate).
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) administration and content deployment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to translate complex concepts into clear, concise learning materials.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Experience in the financial services industry or a highly regulated environment.
- Certification in instructional design or e-learning development (e.g., CPLP, ATD certifications).
- Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) for multimedia enhancement.
- Experience with video production and editing for learning content.
