Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Loan Officers and Processors in managing loan pipelines, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Collect, organize, and review loan application documents for accuracy and completeness, including credit reports, income statements, asset statements, and appraisals.
  • Communicate professionally with borrowers, loan officers, and third-party vendors to obtain necessary documentation and updates.
  • Input and maintain accurate data in the Loan Origination System (LOS) and other relevant software.
  • Help resolve any discrepancies or missing information, escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Ensure all documentation adheres to regulatory compliance and company policies.
  • Prepare loan disclosures and other necessary forms.
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing correspondence.
  • Monitor progress of loan applications and provide regular updates to relevant parties.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a financial or administrative support role, preferably within the mortgage or lending industry.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining productivity and meeting deadlines.
  • Basic understanding of loan processing procedures and terminology.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home office space.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with a Loan Origination System (LOS) such as Encompass, Calyx Point, or similar software.
  • Familiarity with federal and state lending regulations (e.g., TRID, RESPA, HMDA).
