Job Description
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Remote Marketplace Pricing Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in optimizing our revenue across various online marketplaces and direct booking channels. As a Remote Marketplace Pricing Analyst, you will leverage your expertise to monitor market trends, analyze competitor pricing, and forecast demand to implement effective dynamic pricing strategies for our luxury resort properties. This position requires a sharp mind capable of translating complex data into actionable insights that directly impact our profitability and market positioning. You will be responsible for meticulously tracking the performance of different pricing models, identifying opportunities for revenue growth, and collaborating cross-functionally with our sales, marketing, and revenue management teams to align pricing with overall business objectives. This remote role offers the flexibility to work from your preferred location within Mauritius, provided you have a stable internet connection and can maintain consistent communication with a distributed team. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of marketplace pricing, competitive landscape, and market demand for LUX* properties.
- Develop, implement, and monitor dynamic pricing strategies across all online distribution channels (OTAs, direct website, meta-search engines).
- Utilize advanced analytical tools and statistical models to forecast future demand and optimize pricing structures.
- Identify pricing inefficiencies and revenue opportunities, providing actionable recommendations to senior management.
- Collaborate closely with revenue management, sales, and marketing teams to ensure pricing strategies align with overall business goals and promotional campaigns.
- Generate regular reports on pricing performance, market trends, and competitive positioning, presenting findings clearly and concisely.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, new technologies, and emerging trends in dynamic pricing and revenue optimization.
- Participate in A/B testing of pricing strategies to measure impact and refine approaches.
- Ensure pricing integrity and consistency across all platforms and booking engines.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a pricing analyst, business analyst, or revenue management role.
- Proven proficiency in data analysis, statistical modeling, and forecasting techniques.
- Expert-level command of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, advanced formulas).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of explaining complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment.
- Proficiency with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Demonstrated understanding of e-commerce marketplaces and online distribution channels.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience within the hospitality, travel, or e-commerce industries.
