Are you a visionary designer with a passion for transforming brand identity into tangible, captivating merchandise? Swamp Head Brewery, a pioneer in Florida’s craft beer scene, is seeking a talented and innovative Remote Merchandise Designer to join our dynamic team. In this full-time role, you will be instrumental in conceptualizing, designing, and bringing to life a diverse range of branded products that resonate with our loyal customers and expand our brand presence. From stylish apparel like t-shirts, hoodies, and hats, to custom glassware, unique promotional items, and exciting accessories, your designs will be the wearable and usable embodiment of the Swamp Head spirit. You’ll operate at the intersection of creativity and strategy, translating marketing objectives and seasonal themes into compelling product visuals. This includes developing initial concepts, creating detailed mock-ups, refining designs based on feedback, and preparing production-ready files. You’ll work closely with our marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure designs are not only aesthetically compelling but also align seamlessly with our established brand guidelines, production capabilities, supplier relationships, and unwavering commitment to sustainability. Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and develop original designs for a wide range of merchandise including apparel (t-shirts, hats, hoodies), glassware, promotional items, and accessories.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and brand teams to understand product needs, target audience, and brand messaging.
- Create detailed design mock-ups, technical sketches, and production-ready artwork files (vector graphics, print specifications).
- Ensure all designs adhere to Swamp Head Brewery's brand guidelines, maintaining consistency in style, color, and typography.
- Research current market trends in merchandise design, apparel, and the craft beer industry to inform new product ideas.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and project specifications.
- Communicate effectively with external vendors and suppliers to ensure design integrity and quality during production.
- Iterate on designs based on feedback from internal stakeholders, ensuring creative solutions meet business objectives.
- Assist in the selection of materials, printing techniques, and embellishments for merchandise items, considering cost and sustainability.
- Maintain an organized digital asset library of all merchandise designs and related files.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- Strong portfolio showcasing merchandise design, graphic design, and branding projects
- Excellent understanding of print production processes, materials, and techniques
- Ability to translate brand identity into compelling and marketable products
- Exceptional creativity and a keen eye for aesthetics and detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a remote work setting
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and initiative
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Fashion Design, or a related field

- Experience with 3D rendering software for product mock-ups
